• Epithelium - how does it differ in appearance from that of the oesophagus?
• Lamina propia - what fibres are abundant? What cells can you see just deep to the epithelium? Comment on the vascularity.
• Muscular layer - from your knowledge of Gross Anatomy, what would you expect to find in the adventitia?
